How big is the space?

Mollie's Event Center is nearly 3,000 square feet, with a main entertaining area of 1,575 sq ft. In addition to the bar, the lounge area also has room (800 sq ft) for more tables or a standing area for parties, showers, etc. The open and spacious basement (1,100 sqft) is perfect for overflow, with bridal changing areas, large restrooms, and couches arranged in a way that encourages socializing in a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for after-reception conversations and gathering areas for birthdays and showers. Get some air on the oversized deck in the back.

Mollie's Event Center can easily accommodate up to 150 people, the perfect size for that large-but-not-too-large family gathering or business conference or special event.

How long has Mollie's Event Center been in business and where is it located?

The venue, located at 212 East Elm Street in Alton (just minutes from the Clark Bridge that separates the Alton and Riverbend area from St. Louis) was opened in the summer of 2019. 

How is the parking?

Mollie's Event Center in Alton is surrounded by convenient parking opportunities. In addition to the event center lot on the north side, there is also a lot located directly across the street. Alton Little Theater has also agreed to the use of its lot when theater productions are not scheduled. The event center lot could easily be designated for the wedding party, while the other lots could still accommodate party guests. Coordinate with us on parking if you anticipate hosting more than 50 people.

What is included in the base price?

When you reserve Mollie's Event Center, you will have full access to the entire building, including the main hall, ballroom with seating for more than 100 party guests in addition to a dance floor area, and downstairs social gathering area and full kitchen facilities. Water, electric use, and full access to televisions with cable also are included. The cost of rental space also covers use of the sound system and projector, and the ability to serve liquor in the bar area should your wedding, shower, business conference or other events wish to include alcohol in the festivities.
